I lived in oshawa up unil the summer before grade 4. I left grade 3 thinking that i was going to be going back to the same school with the same friends i had known for years, but my parents had a different plan. Over the summer they had sold our house and bought one in Newcastle. I was pretty young at the time so i didnt really think it was that big of a deal but I had no idea that 2 towns could be so completely different. I went to school in orono,a place i didnt even know existed. It was hard because i was shy as a kid and i didnt know if i as gunna make any firends, but one girl came right out and introduced herself the second i sat down beside her and to this day, 8 years later she is one of my closest friends. At first i thought it was gunna be hard to fit in with people that had been in diapers together but living in a small town and going to a small school was actually an amazing way to grow up. im sure it has its dissadvantages but i really enjoy clarke highscool and MOST of the people that go there and i have made some friends that i couldnt live without and some memories that i will never forget all in the little town of orono/ newcastle.
